Duties and responsibilities: (listing is not all inclusive)

  • Associate Relations
    • Execute and ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures reflective of local best practices and regulation.
    • Develop and implement improved associate relations methods, training and development, and positive reward and recognition programs.
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Forecast human capital needs and identify staffing strategies.
    • Identify talent gap issues and work with business partners in addressing viable solutions.
    • Monitor and evaluate assessment results and background checks on job candidates, including psychological, criminal, motor vehicle reports and drug test results.
    • Interview and select qualified job candidates or refer them to managers for interviews and make hiring recommendations.
  • Business Services and Compliance
    • Oversee administrative function to include: fleet management, facilities management, vendor management, administrative budgeting and spend, and internal operational governance and controls.
    • Manage compliance for entity level SOX controls and SOD related to HR/ADMN.
    • Assure equitable, motivating wage and salary administration procedures.
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of, and assure compliance with, all Mexican employment and labor laws, immigration laws and social program requirements.
  • Talent Management
    • Educate all assigned business unit supervisory personnel on Human Resources best practices and policies.
    • Maintain the organization’s commitment to the safety culture.
    • Identifiy turnover root causes and implement retention strategies and initiatives throughout assigned business units.
    • Oversee associate relations matters by ensuring supervisors and managers demonstrate the ability to handle associate disputes, performance improvement actions and disciplinary actions.
  • Organizational Development
    • Manages succession planning to identify future leadership.
    • Implement performance management strategy and initiatives throughout assigned business units.
    • Lead the process to educate associates on career development, training opportunities, and other development initiatives.



Minimum qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or Organizational Development.
  • Minimum of 5 (five) years of progressively responsible human resource experience at a managerial level, preferably in an international company environment.
  • Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems
  • Business Acumen – budgeting.
  • Proven knowledge of HR strategic management, workforce planning & employment, HR development, associate relations, staffing/hiring (selection process), comp & benefits, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR and Mexican Labor Laws, Policies and Procedures, talent management systems. General knowledge of recruiting processes, procedures and laws.
  • Experience in managing multiple functions: immigration, payroll, benefits, vendors, fleet, facilities, training and development.


  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Relocation to Celaya, Guanajuato
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • FLUENT ENGLISH (Most have excellent English language skills: reading, writing and speaking)
  • Valid Passport and Visa (disposition to travel to US at least twice a year).

Work Environment:

  • Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Monthly Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 pesos (depending on qualifications)
